Section: Facilities and Property

Applicability: This Policy applies to all Johnson County Community College (“JCCC” or the “College”) departments and operations.

Statement:

The College embraces its responsibility to future generations through sustainability in academics, operations, and practices. Such an approach inspires hope for our students, bolsters resilience and business continuity for the College, supports our larger community in an evolving ecological environment, and promotes the College’s mission.

To support this commitment, the College will continue to build an interdisciplinary learning environment that supports understanding of sustainable ecological, economic, and social systems; bolsters career paths for students working in related areas; fosters appropriate operational practices that facilitate responsible stewardship of resources; and collaborates with community partners working on sustainability.
